- 2 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
- 3/4 TSP SALT
- 1 TBSP GROUND GINGER
- 1 1/2 TSP CINNAMON
- 1 TSP GROUND CLOVES
- 3/4 CUP UNSALTED BUTTER @ ROOM TEMP
- 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 1 EGG
- 1/4 CUP FANCY MOLASSES
- + 1/2 CUP OF GRANULATED SUGAR FOR COATING THE COOKIES
- IN A BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER THE FLOUR, BAKING SODA, SALT, GINGER, CINNAMON AND CLOVES. SET ASIDE
- IN A MIXER, CREAM THE BUTTER, BROWN SUGAR TILL LIGHT + FLUFFY.
NEXT, ADD EGG AND MIX TIL COMBINED. THEN ADD MOLASSES AND MIX TIL INCORPORATED.
- SLOWLY ADD DRY INGREDIENTS TO BUTTER MIXTURE AND MIX ON LOW SPEED TILL COMBINED.
- COVER BOWL WITH PLASTIC WRAP AND CHILL FOR AN HOUR
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F + LINE 2 BAKING SHEETS W PARCHMENT PAPER
- ROLL BALL OF DOUGH TO 1 INCH BALLS
- THEN ROLL BALLS IN THE EXTRA GRANULATED SUGAR TILL COMPLETELY COATED.
- PLACE BALLS ON BAKING SHEET EVENLY SPACED OUT
- BAKE 15 - 20 MINUTES TIL COOKIES ARE FLATTENED AND DOUBLE IN SIZE
